    Good morning to everyone:

Sorry for the late introduction. Believe it or not, NYC schools do not conclude until June 27th, so my days continue to be busy. I applied to this program, because I am hoping to learn new concepts in a more simplified version. My high school students come to me with limited or no science foundation. I am trying to reach them via pictures, so I have an intense interest in integrating science via a myriad of modalities. We also have a large population of students who are migrants and only Spanish speaking. I am looking to collaborate with scientists who are comfortable working with this population. I have been working in the South Bronx for 24 years and these are the challenges we face everyday, with 30% of our population homeless and 90% qualifying for free lunch.
