Good bye Thank you to everyone who participated in this inquiry. We hope you are going away with some new insights about how science works, and confidence that you can take on new scientific challenges. There are a lot of fascinating research questions---just waiting for young investigators to join in the fun. Best wishes for the remainder of your school year! Jennifer |

reply to RAVEN!! hey RAVEN! this is Jason from dandyLIONZ. I was the one that actually came up with the idea. We actually came up with a list of possible research questions we could do, and in the end my question got chosen. Also, we chose it because we thought it would probably less cheapest :] TEEHEE! |

info.. You know, if you put a stick or pole of sum sort into the plant that you have the picture, it would wrap around it. |

It's good to hear from you! Here are some suggestions for information to record about your experiment. 1. What kinds of light bulbs are you using in the two rooms? 2. How far away is the plant in the lab from the light source? 3. How far away is the plant in the well lit room from the light source? 4. How are you making sure that the lights stay on (and off) as you have set them up to be? 5. Are you keeping your plants in continual light or are you doing a day/night routine? If so, how many hours of light and how many hours of dark are you using? Let me know if there other questions or ideas you'd like me to answer. |

our experiment We are going to see how plants react differently to light. One plant will be in sunlight and one plant will be in a dark room with a single lamp light. |

idea for you How do tropisms, that is plant growth movements, work? Plants actually move, chemicals, light, gravity & wind can cause plants to grow a certain way---THINK & research--w will be in the computer lab on Thursday. Good Luck! Luv, Ms. L |
